Olds River - Kodiak Alaska

We found that the best wading river to fly fish is the Olds River. It is quite a drive from Kodiak, but, well worth it. In early August it is loaded with Pink Salmon and Humpies.

 Outside the mouth we caught a wide variety of other fish including Halibut. We fished there several times and at different tides. It seemed that no matter what time we fished it was good and then got better.
