Nicaragua - May 2004

This was a great group of guys to fish with. It included George Large, Brad Stevenson, Jim Perry and myself, Frank Yerich. This was the first time fishing with Brad and Jim. They are really good fishermen. Philippe our guide and Mari were wonderful. They seen to it that we were always comfortable and very well fed.

The trip started off slow. The rainy season had just started and the water was cloudy. Fortunately for us the knowledgeable guides at San Carlos Sports Fishing knew where the biting fish were.

 We hooked several Tarpon and boated some that were well over 200lbs. One picture below shows a Tarpon blowing up along side the boat. It actually slammed into the side of the boat while coming up on its second jump. What a wake up call.
