Fishing for Golden Dorado in Argentina 2006

A good friend and expert fisherman, George Large, and I just spent 2 amazing weeks in Argentina fishing for Golden Dorado.

Simply "Dorado" as they are locally known are the most incredibly aggressive fish I have ever experienced. They don't just hit your fly or lure, they attack it. Once hooked a dorado will blast out of the water like a rocket and do a tail dance up to 7 times shaking his head all the way.

Never in my life have I experienced such a large and amazingly aggressive fish as Golden Dorado.

We started this fishing adventure on the beautiful Parana River and fish there for a few days then flew to La Zona to battle Monster Golden Dorado and finished off the trip with a few relaxing days in Buenos Aires.
